Leidos Awarded $476 Mln Contract To Support NASA Cargo Missions

Leidos Holdings, Inc. (LDOS), an innovation company, announced on Thursday its recent acquisition of a new contract to extend its cargo mission engineering and integration services for NASA's International Space Station (ISS) Program and the Artemis campaign.

The contract is valued at up to $476 million, featuring a base performance period of two years. The majority of the work will be conducted at Leidos' facilities in Webster, Texas.

Under this contract, Leidos will deliver analytical and physical processing for NASA missions, alongside essential engineering, maintenance, and operations support. The company will also be responsible for developing, fabricating, and certifying hardware to meet mission objectives.

Moreover, Leidos will address space station and Artemis manifest requirements for launch, return, and disposal. This includes supporting logistical and integration functions to ensure sufficient crew provisions and supplies, thereby sustaining human presence in space.

Leidos has a long-standing history of providing cargo mission support for NASA since 2004. The firm has facilitated over 160 ISS Visiting Vehicle Missions, delivering more than 310,000 pounds of cargo and scientific materials. Additionally, Leidos has supported over 85 ISS Return Vehicle Missions, recovering and distributing in excess of 115,000 pounds of science and cargo.
