Apple Vision Pro Sales Likely To Slow Down In 2024 : Bloomberg

Market intelligence firm IDC recently reported, according to Bloomberg, that Apple's (AAPL) Vision Pro sales are projected to remain below 500,000 units in 2024.

The report also highlighted that the $3,500 headset has not achieved 100,000 units sold in a single quarter since its launch in the U.S. Additionally, domestic sales for the current quarter have decreased by 75%.

Francisco Jeronimo, vice president at IDC, stated, "The Vision Pro's success, irrespective of its price, will ultimately hinge on the available content. As Apple expands the product to international markets, it's imperative that local content is also accessible."

The mixed reality headset, introduced in the U.S. in January 2024, will be available in the UK, Canada, Australia, France, and Germany starting July 12.

IDC estimates that the international launch could mitigate the drop in U.S. sales, but it is not expected to significantly boost overall sales.

Additionally, Apple is developing a more affordable version of the Vision Pro headset, with a planned release in 2025.
