The French automotive giant Renault Group (RNSDY.PK, RNSDF.PK, RNT.L) has announced the appointment of Philippe Krief as Chief Technology Officer, effective September 1.
Krief is set to succeed Gilles Le Borgne, who will transition into a strategic advisory role reporting to the CEO.
In addition to his new role, Krief will continue to serve as the CEO of the Alpine brand.
As Chief Technology Officer, Krief will oversee all engineering activities and resources within the Group, directly reporting to CEO Luca de Meo.
Krief brings extensive experience, having worked on a diverse range of models, from B-segment vehicles to high-end cars valued at several million euros. He began his career at Michelin, then moved on to the Fiat Group, followed by roles at Ferrari and Maserati.
On February 21, 2023, he was appointed Director of Engineering and Product Performance for the Alpine brand, before taking on the role of CEO.
