In June 2025, Germany's Ifo Business Climate Index increased to its highest level in a year, reaching 88.4, up from 87.5 in May and surpassing predictions of 88.2. The expectations index climbed to 90.7, the highest seen since April 2023, following an upward revision to 89 in the prior month. Meanwhile, the index assessing current conditions slightly rose to 86.2 from 86.1. Clemens Fuest, President of Ifo, remarked, "The German economy is gradually regaining confidence."
