Slovenia Producer Inflation Rises to 5-Month High

Producer prices in Slovenia experienced a year-on-year increase of 1.3% in June 2025, building on a 1% rise in each of the preceding two months. This represents the fifth consecutive month of growth and marks the highest rate in this period. The uptick was primarily driven by surged costs in the mining and quarrying sector, which climbed to 9.1% from 4.3% in May, as well as in manufacturing, which rose to 1.5% from 1.1%. Meanwhile, water supply prices maintained a consistent increase of 5.4%, mirroring the previous month's rate. However, there was an acceleration in producer deflation for the supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning, which dropped further to -6.3% from -4.3%. When measured on a monthly basis, producer prices saw a 0.3% increase in June, slowing down from a 0.8% rise in the previous period.
