In September 2025, North Macedonia experienced a 2.7% year-on-year increase in industrial production, marking a recovery from the 3.5% decrease observed the previous month. Manufacturing output witnessed a notable comeback, with a growth of 3.1% as opposed to the 1.4% decline in August. Meanwhile, the production of electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply declined at a significantly reduced rate of 2.5%, compared to a steep 26.8% drop earlier. Conversely, output in the mining and quarrying sector fell by 1.7%, undoing the 7% growth seen in August. Overall, for the January to September period, industrial production was up by 2.3% compared to the same timeframe the previous year.
