FX.co ★ North Macedonia Retail Sales Drop in September

In September 2025, retail sales in Macedonia decreased by 0.2% compared to the same month the previous year, marking a shift from the 1.1% growth witnessed in August. This decline was largely attributed to a reduction in the sales of food, beverages, and tobacco, which fell by 7.1% following a 3.8% increase in August, as well as a decrease in automotive fuel sales, which dropped by 1.5% after a previous gain of 4.8%. Conversely, sales of non-food products showed a recovery, rising by 7.6% in contrast to the previous month's 3.7% decline. When fuel sales are excluded, retail trade reduced marginally to 0.1% from 0.2% in August.
