France's official reserve assets reached a new record high of €359.39 billion in November 2025, up from €350.04 billion in October. This monthly increase of €9.36 billion was primarily attributed to higher gold reserves, which rose to €282.85 billion from €273.25 billion in October. Conversely, there were declines in foreign currency reserves (€31.28 billion compared to €31.37 billion previously), claims on the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which fell to €38.86 billion from €38.97 billion, and other reserve assets that slightly decreased to €6.40 billion from €6.45 billion.
