In November 2025, Angola's annual inflation rate continued its downward trajectory, reaching 16.56%, the lowest point observed since September 2023. This decline, which has been ongoing since August 2024, has benefited from a stable kwanza. Various categories within the Consumer Price Index (CPI) experienced reduced price pressures. Notably, the inflation rate for food and non-alcoholic beverages decreased to 16.87% from 17.76% in October. Similarly, the rates for alcoholic beverages and tobacco fell to 16.33% from 17.93%; clothing and footwear dropped to 15.69% from 16.97%; transportation reduced to 19.80% from 20.39%; health decreased to 18.97% from 20.86%; and miscellaneous goods and services declined to 17.83% from 19.06%. Conversely, prices rose more sharply for categories such as housing and utilities (increasing to 17.23% from 16.52%) and communications (which rose to 4.60% from 3.98%). On a month-to-month comparison, the CPI rose by 0.85%, following a 0.93% increase in the previous month.
