Finnish Industrial Output Growth at 5-Month High

In October 2025, Finland's industrial production increased by 2.3% compared to the previous year. This growth represents a recovery from a revised 1.5% decline experienced in September. It was the first instance of expansion in industrial output following four months of contraction, and it was the strongest growth recorded since May. Notable increases were seen in the manufacture of food products (up by 1.7%), beverages (up by 3.2%), and basic metals (up by 2.5%). In contrast, production growth in the mining and quarrying sector saw a significant decrease, slowing to 1.5% from 28.3% in the previous month. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial activity increased by 2.4% in October, recovering from a revised 0.2% decline in the prior period.
