In November 2025, France's annual inflation rate remained steady at 0.9%, consistent with both October figures and the preliminary forecast. Notably, service prices experienced a moderation, rising by 2.2% compared to a 2.4% increase the previous month. This deceleration was particularly observed in services related to accommodation, which increased by 0.8%, services associated with private vehicles up by 2.2%, and vehicle maintenance and repair showing an increase of 2.4%. Meanwhile, prices for manufactured goods saw a slightly greater decline of 0.6%, largely due to a significant drop in prices for large household appliances, which fell by 3.3%, and games, toys, and hobbies, which decreased by 1%. Conversely, energy prices declined at a slower rate of 4.6%, while food inflation experienced a slight rise of 1.4%. Significant price increases were observed in categories such as meat at 2.5%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate at 5.3%, non-alcoholic beverages at 9.5%, and a moderate rise in milk, cheese, and eggs at 0.8%. Tobacco prices continued their upward trend, increasing by 4.1%. On a month-to-month basis, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) dropped by 0.2%, a bit more than the initially anticipated 0.1% decrease. The EU-harmonised CPI reported an annual rise of 0.8% and a monthly decline of 0.2%.
