Serbia Inflation Rate Steady in November

In November 2025, Serbia's annual inflation rate held steady at 2.8%, consistent with the previous month and marking the lowest level seen since April 2021. This stability was chiefly due to a decline in the prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which decreased by 0.7% compared to a 0.3% increase in October. Additionally, the price growth for clothing and footwear decelerated to 2.9% from 3.2%, while furnishings, household equipment, and routine household maintenance saw a reduction in growth from 1.3% to 0.7%. Miscellaneous goods and services also experienced a price growth slowdown to 4.3% from 4.5%. Conversely, certain sectors experienced heightened cost pressures, notably housing and utilities, which accelerated to 7.5% from 7.2%. Transport costs grew more substantially at 2.6% compared to 1.7% previously. There was also a greater increase in prices for alcoholic beverages and narcotics at 4.9%, health at 5.6%, communication at 2.3%, recreation and culture at 4.5%, and restaurants and hotels at 6.9%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices eased to a 0.2% increase from a 0.5% rise in October.
