Saudi Arabia Jobless Rate Rises to 3.4% in Q3

In the third quarter of 2025, Saudi Arabia's unemployment rate increased to 3.4%, compared to 3.2% in the prior quarter. Specifically, the unemployment rate for Saudi nationals was documented at 7.5%, whereas for non-Saudis, it was significantly lower at 1.4%. Analyzing the data by gender, female unemployment dropped to 9.4% from 11.3% observed in the second quarter, and male unemployment reduced notably to 2.2% from 4.3%. Concurrently, the labor force participation rate saw a slight decline from 67.1% to 66.9%, and the employment-to-population ratio decreased from 65.0% to 64.6%. According to survey findings, a noteworthy 95.3% of unemployed Saudi individuals expressed their readiness to accept employment in the private sector. Among these, 61.0% of women and 42.7% of men were willing to commute for over an hour, while 70.6% of women and 86.7% of men were agreeable to working eight hours or more daily.
