In November 2025, Belgium experienced a significant 4.8% decrease in construction output compared to the same month the previous year. This follows a newly revised decline of 0.8% in October. November's contraction is the largest since March, significantly impacted by a downturn across all construction sectors. Building construction output dropped by 4.9% compared to October’s 1.1% decrease. The civil engineering area experienced a 4.2% decline, widening from a 2.9% fall, and specialized construction activities saw a notable reduction of 5.3%, reversing a previous 0.2% rise. On a seasonally adjusted basis, construction activity decreased by 0.3% in November, negating the 0.3% increase registered in the previous month.
