FX.co ★ Hungary Jobless Rate Steady in October-December

In the period from October to December 2025, Hungary reported an unemployment rate of 4.4%, consistent with the rate recorded in the same period the previous year. The total number of unemployed individuals slightly decreased by 3,200 from the previous year, bringing the total to 213,100. Among these, 116,000 were men, with an unemployment rate of 4.5%, while 97,000 were women, with an unemployment rate of 4.3%. On average, individuals seeking employment spent 12.7 months job searching. Of those unemployed, 39.1% had been job hunting for less than three months, whereas 36.2% had been searching for at least a year. Concurrently, there was a decline in the number of employed persons, decreasing by 46,400 to a total of 4.642 million. Employment among men decreased by 23,700 to 2.457 million, whereas employment among women fell by 22,700 to 2.186 million.
