In December 2025, France experienced a reduction in its unemployment figures, with the number of registered unemployed individuals decreasing by 11,900, bringing the total to 3.117 million, the lowest level observed in three months. Specifically, unemployment among people under the age of 25 decreased by 12,400, reaching 505,000. Meanwhile, unemployment among those over 50 decreased slightly by 700 individuals, settling at 808,000. Conversely, unemployment showed a slight increase of 1,200 for the core working-age population, totaling 1.814 million.
