In December 2025, Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained steady at 6%, consistent with the rate from the previous month. The number of unemployed individuals saw a slight reduction, dropping by six from the prior month to a total of 493,700. Analyzing by gender, the unemployment rate for men experienced a slight decrease to 5.9% from November's 6.1%, whereas the rate for women rose to 6.1% from the previous 5.9%. Comparatively, in December 2024, the unemployment rate was slightly lower, recorded at 5.7%.
