FX.co ★ Mexico Inflation Rate Accelerates in January

Mexico’s annual inflation rate edged up to 3.79% in January 2026, from 3.69% in December, coming in slightly below market forecasts of 3.82%. The strongest price increases were seen in other services (7.68%), followed by healthcare and personal care (5.37%), and food, beverages and tobacco (4.43%). Prices for clothing, footwear and accessories rose 2.82%, while housing costs advanced 2.91%. More moderate increases were recorded in furniture and household appliances (1.38%) and transport (1.58%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased by 0.38%.
