Ukraine’s annual inflation rate slowed to 7.4% in January 2026 from 8% in December, marking the weakest pace of price growth since July 2024. The deceleration was driven by lower inflation in several key categories, including housing and utilities (2.2% vs 8.9%), food and non-alcoholic beverages (9.7% vs 10.2% in December 2025), transportation (5.9% vs 7.2%), and restaurants and hotels (13.1% vs 14.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices edged up 0.2% in January, a significant slowdown from the 0.7% increase recorded in the final month of 2025.
