Lithuania’s Producer Price Inflation Accelerates in February, Surging to 1.9% MoM

Lithuania’s producer price inflation picked up markedly in February 2026, with the Producer Price Index (PPI) rising 1.90% month-over-month, up from a 0.60% increase recorded in January 2026. The latest data, updated on 10 March 2026, indicate a sharper monthly cost uptick for producers compared with the start of the year.

On a month-over-month basis, the February reading reflects a stronger acceleration in factory-gate prices, as “actual” February growth is measured against January, while the “previous” 0.60% figure captured the change in January relative to December. The move from 0.60% to 1.90% signals growing price pressures at the production level, which could eventually feed through to consumer prices if sustained.

The steeper rise in producer prices will be closely watched by businesses and policymakers, as it may affect corporate margins, pricing strategies, and inflation expectations going into the coming months. For now, February’s data underline a notable strengthening in cost dynamics within Lithuania’s industrial sector.
