FX.co ★ Greece Construction Output Rises in Q4

Construction output in Greece increased by 3% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, easing slightly from a 3.3% rise in the previous quarter. Growth was driven by a sharp expansion in residential and non-residential building construction, where output surged 20.2% compared with 9.6% in Q3, as well as in specialised construction activities, which accelerated to 11.4% from 6.6%.

In contrast, civil engineering activity contracted more sharply, with output down 15% after a 6% decline in the third quarter. On a quarterly, seasonally adjusted basis, total construction output rebounded strongly, jumping 51.7% in Q4 after an upwardly revised 2.4% drop in the previous period.

Over the full year, Greece’s construction sector expanded by 2.5%, a marked slowdown from the 19.9% growth recorded in 2024.
