Czech Producer Price Decline Eases Slightly in February, PPI at -2.9% YoY

The Czech Republic’s producer price index (PPI) showed a modest easing in deflationary pressures in February 2026, according to the latest data updated on 16 March 2026. On a year-over-year basis, industrial producer prices fell by 2.9% in February, compared with a 3.0% decline recorded in January 2026.

The figures indicate that while producer prices remain in negative territory, the rate of decrease is narrowing slightly. Both the current and previous readings compare price levels in each month to the same month a year earlier, signaling a gradual moderation in producer price deflation as the year progresses. Investors and policymakers will be watching upcoming releases closely to see whether this trend continues and potentially signals a turning point in the Czech producer price cycle.
