FX.co ★ Sweden Retail Sales Growth Slows in February

Retail sales in Sweden increased by 2.4% year-on-year in February 2026, slowing from a downwardly revised 3.9% rise in January. Growth in durable goods sales moderated, expanding 4.7% compared with 6.9% in the previous month, while sales of consumables (excluding Systembolaget) fell 0.2%, reversing a 0.2% increase.

On a monthly basis, retail sales declined by 0.6% in February, following a revised 0.1% drop in the prior month. Over the three months from December to February, sales were 0.2% lower than in the preceding three-month period (September–November).
