Turkey’s Economic Confidence Index declined to 97.9 in March 2026, down from 100.7 in February, reaching its lowest level in six months as all major confidence indicators weakened.
Consumer confidence softened slightly, with the index slipping to 85 from 85.7 in the previous month. Sentiment in the real sector fell more notably, with its index dropping to 100 from 104.1. The outlook for the construction sector also deteriorated, as its index decreased to 80.6 from 83.9.
In the services sector, confidence eased to 113.2 from 113.8, while retail trade confidence declined to 113.6 from 115.9.
