Norway House Prices Up 0.1% MoM in March

Norwegian house prices edged up 0.1% month-on-month in March 2026, after a 0.3% decline in February. Residential sales amounted to 9,522 units, down 2.2% from the same month a year earlier, while 9,722 homes were listed for sale, a sharp 18.1% decrease year-on-year.

The average time on the market fell to 50 days in March from 59 days in February. Homes sold fastest in Bergen and Stavanger, including surrounding areas, with average selling times of 13 and 16 days, respectively. By contrast, Fredrikstad/Sarpsborg recorded the slowest market, with an average selling period of 113 days.

Regionally, Ålesund posted the strongest monthly price gain at +2.0%, followed by Tønsberg and Færder at +1.9%. The steepest declines were observed in Porsgrunn/Skien (-2.3%) and Kristiansand (-0.4%).

On an annual basis, house prices were up 3% in March, unchanged from February. For the January–March period, prices were 4.5% higher compared with the same period a year earlier.
