Motorbike sales in Indonesia fell 17.1% year-on-year to an eleven-month low of 448,974 units in March 2026, reversing a 1.0% increase in February. This was the first annual decline since July of the previous year, reflecting a shift in consumer spending patterns during Ramadan and in the run-up to the Eid al-Fitr holiday. On a monthly basis, sales dropped 23.6% in March, following a 1.7% gain in February. Despite the March downturn, motorbike sales in the first quarter of the year were still 4.1% higher than in the same period a year earlier.
