DAX 40 Rebounds on Wednesday

The DAX 40 index advanced 0.6% to around 24,102 points on Wednesday, recovering from a 1.6% drop in the previous session. Strong corporate earnings and optimism ahead of US President Donald Trump’s state visit to China helped counterbalance worries over the conflict in Iran.

Siemens edged higher, supported by robust demand for AI data centers and resilient software sales in its fiscal second quarter. Merck surged 7% after reporting better-than-expected operating profit and raising its full-year guidance. Allianz added 1.1% following a stronger-than-anticipated start to the year and a reaffirmation of its outlook. Deutsche Telekom gained more than 1% after delivering a solid quarterly update and slightly upgrading its profit forecast.

E.ON climbed 3.5%, while RWE slipped 2.2%, even though both companies confirmed their full-year targets after releasing quarterly results. On the downside, SAP dropped nearly 5%, and Rheinmetall lost more than 3.5%.
