Canada’s manufacturing sector posted a stronger performance in April 2026, with sales rising 4.6% month-over-month, up from a 3.0% increase in March 2026. The latest data, updated on 26 May 2026, indicate a continued acceleration in factory activity on the back of consecutive monthly gains.

The month-over-month comparison shows that not only did manufacturing sales grow for a second straight month, but the pace of expansion also improved notably from March to April.
