Poland’s car registration growth cooled significantly in April 2026, with the year-over-year indicator easing to 10.30%, down from 20.40% in March 2026. The figures, updated on 27 May 2026, show that while the market remains in expansion compared with a year earlier, the pace of that expansion has moderated notably.

Both readings reflect year-over-year changes, comparing each month with the same month a year before. The March figure captured how strongly registrations had risen versus March of the previous year, whereas the April data show a slower, though still positive, increase over April a year ago.

The sharp deceleration in April suggests that some of the momentum seen earlier in the year has faded, potentially signaling a more measured phase of recovery or normalization in Poland’s auto market as 2026 progresses.
