North Macedonia’s industrial production growth accelerated to 7.6% year-on-year in April 2026, up from 3.0% in March. The surge was driven primarily by a 17.2% jump in energy output, reversing a 7.8% decline in the previous month. Production of intermediate goods also increased markedly (14.2% vs. 5.1%), while output of non-durable consumer goods strengthened (5.5% vs. 0.4%). In contrast, growth in capital goods production moderated (1.6% vs. 8.4%), and output of durable consumer goods fell sharply (-4.9% vs. 2.2%).
