European equities advanced on Thursday, with the STOXX 50 up 0.5% and the STOXX 600 gaining 0.4%. Sentiment improved further after the US announced that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a ceasefire, conditional on Hezbollah also halting hostilities. In contrast, global technology and AI-linked stocks faced pressure after US chipmaker Broadcom issued a weaker outlook. ASML edged down 0.2%, while Infineon fell 2.8%.
