Sentiment was further dampened by ongoing tensions in the Middle East and stalled US–Iran negotiations. In the latest developments, Hezbollah rejected a ceasefire proposal in Lebanon, while President Donald Trump reiterated a hardline position on Iran, amplifying geopolitical concerns.

The tech sector came under significant selling pressure, with Infineon Technologies dropping more than 5%. Major industrials also declined, including Siemens (-0.9%) and Siemens Energy (-0.6%), while bank stocks posted only modest gains.
