The DAX 40 climbed roughly 0.5% to around 25,145 on Friday, its highest level in more than two weeks, extending its winning streak to seven consecutive sessions. The index was on track for a 2.1% gain for the week, with investors closely monitoring geopolitical developments. Sentiment was supported by hopes for a potential resolution to the Iran conflict, although uncertainty increased amid renewed tensions in Lebanon and delays in US-Iran negotiations over a permanent peace deal.

Among the top performers, Infineon Technologies advanced 2%, Rheinmetall rose 1.7%, and Siemens Energy gained 1.6%. Automakers also showed early signs of recovery, with Mercedes-Benz Group and BMW each adding 1.6%. After the close, construction group Hochtief is set to join the DAX, replacing Volkswagen subsidiary Porsche SE, which will be reassigned to the MDAX.
