In May 2026, real retail sales in Serbia increased by 6.2% year-on-year, accelerating from a 5.6% rise in April. Growth was broad-based across the sector, with notable increases in non-food products (5%), automotive fuel sold in specialized stores (6.6%), and food, beverages, and tobacco (7.1%). On a month-on-month basis, real retail sales were up by 0.9%.
