The data are based on a year-over-year assessment, where the current reading measures the change in GDP in the first quarter of 2026 versus the same quarter a year ago. The previous indicator reflected the year-over-year change in the first quarter of 2025. The slowdown from 1.8% to 1.4% suggests that while the Dutch economy continues to grow, the pace has softened compared with the prior year’s performance.
