FX.co ★ Vietnam Retail Sales Growth Strongest Since 2023

Retail sales in Vietnam increased by 14.8% year-on-year in June 2026, up from an 11.8% gain in May and marking the fastest pace of growth since January 2023. All major categories posted stronger expansions. Retail sales of goods, which accounted for 75.6% of total activity, rose 13.4% after an 11.3% increase in May. Growth also accelerated in accommodation, food, and beverage services (19.7% vs. 15.4%), travel and tourism (24.9% vs. 15.4%), and other services (17.9% vs. 10.8%). Over the first half of 2026, total retail sales were up 12.9% from the same period a year earlier.
