France’s services sector showed signs of stabilisation in June, with the HCOB France Services PMI edging up to 46.8, according to the latest data updated on 3 July 2026. The reading, however, remains below the 50-point threshold that separates expansion from contraction, indicating that activity is still shrinking, though at a slower pace.
The June figure marks an improvement from the previous reading of 44.3, also recorded for June 2026, suggesting that the downturn in France’s key services industry may be moderating. While the sector continues to face headwinds, the smaller gap to the 50-point level could signal a gradual move toward stabilisation if momentum continues in the coming months.
