Austria Wholesale Inflation Slows in June

Austria’s wholesale prices rose by 5.4% year-on-year in June 2026, slowing from a more than three-year high of 6.9% in May. In contrast, prices accelerated for several categories, including plastics and rubber in primary forms (+47.3%), other liquid and gaseous fuels and related products (+23.4%), non-ferrous metals (+19.5%), waste and scrap (+18.5%), information and communication equipment (+16.3%), motor spirit (+16.3%), other machinery and equipment (+13.9%), and solid fuels (+11.3%).

On a monthly basis, wholesale prices declined by 0.7% in June, reversing the 0.1% increase recorded in May.
