Canada's Ivey PMI slipped to 56.2 in June 2026 from 58.2 in May, falling short of market expectations of 59.1. The decline ended a three‑month run of increases and pointed to a moderation in overall business activity. The employment index inched down to 53.6 from 54.3 but stayed in expansionary territory. The prices index eased to 73.7 from 78.0, suggesting some softening in price pressures, although they remained high. The supplier deliveries index edged lower to 44.3 from 44.7 and has held roughly around the 44 mark since April. Meanwhile, the inventories index increased to 50.9 from 47.9, moving back into expansionary territory.
