Portugal’s industrial producer inflation eased slightly to 5.0% year-on-year in June 2026, down from 5.1% in May. The slowdown was mainly driven by a sharp deceleration in energy inflation, which fell to 12.7% from 19.5%, as producer prices in the utilities sector declined 1.7% after a 7.5% increase in the previous month. In contrast, price growth strengthened across all other major categories. Intermediate goods recorded the largest rise (6.3% vs. 4.6%), followed by non-durable consumer goods (1.1% vs. 0.6%), durable consumer goods (2.0% vs. 0.6%), and capital goods (2.2% vs. 1.8%). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 0.8% in June, easing from a 1.0% gain in May.
