FX.co ★ Lithuania Industrial Output Rebounds Sharply in June

Lithuania’s industrial production jumped 9.8% year-on-year in June 2026, a sharp turnaround from the 1.6% contraction recorded in May. This was the fastest pace of expansion since July 2024. The rebound was largely fueled by a strong recovery in manufacturing output excluding refined petroleum products, which climbed 11.5% after a 1.0% decline in the previous month, and by a marked acceleration in mining and quarrying, where activity rose 9.1% compared with 1.7% in May.

Meanwhile, the downturn eased in other key sectors. The electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply sector saw its decline narrow to 3.1% from 9.5%, while the contraction in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services moderated to 8.6% from 13.3%. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, overall industrial output increased 2.1% in June, rebounding from a 2.9% decrease in May.
