Swiss investor sentiment climbed to 10.0 in July 2026 from -25.0 in June, moving back into positive territory for the first time since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict in February, according to the UBS & CFA Society Switzerland survey. The expectations index rose sharply to +9.5 from +2.8 a month earlier, pointing to stronger optimism about the economic outlook. The gauge of current conditions also improved, edging up to +6.7 in July from +2.4 in June, reflecting a more favorable assessment of the present economic environment. UBS further reported that the proportion of analysts anticipating higher oil prices reached its highest level in twelve months, resulting in expectations being evenly balanced between rising and falling oil prices.
