The Baltic Dry Index rose 1.6% to 2,673 on Thursday, snapping a three-session losing streak. The Capesize index, which typically tracks vessels carrying around 150,000 tons of cargo such as iron ore and coal, climbed 2.5% to 4,167. The Panamax index, reflecting ships that usually transport 60,000 to 70,000 tons of coal or grain, advanced 2.3% to 2,040, its highest level since July 24. In contrast, the Supramax index slipped 1.1% to 1,610, marking a three-week low.
