Hungary’s manufacturing sector maintained its expansionary momentum in July, though at a marginally slower pace, according to the latest Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data. The Manufacturing PMI stood at 51.4 in July 2026, edging down from 51.6 recorded in June 2026.

Despite the slight dip, the July reading remains above the 50-point threshold that separates expansion from contraction, indicating continued growth in Hungary’s manufacturing activity. The updated figures, released on 03 August 2026, suggest that while momentum has softened compared with the previous month, the sector is still on a growth trajectory heading into the second half of the year.
