Turkey Producer Inflation Slows to 5-Month Low

Turkey’s annual producer inflation rate eased to 27.83% in July 2026, down from 28.09% in June, marking the weakest increase since February. The slowdown was largely driven by more moderate price gains in several sectors: mining and quarrying (41.81% vs. 53.50% in June), manufacturing (28.96% vs. 29.65%), and water supply (28.85% vs. 29.26%).

In contrast, producer inflation accelerated in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, where prices rose 11.69%, up from 4.12% a month earlier.

By main industrial groupings, price growth decelerated for intermediate goods (26.79% vs. 27.89%), durable consumer goods (26.57%), and capital goods (21.28% vs. 23.01%). However, costs picked up for non-durable consumer goods (32.46% vs. 31.42%) and energy (26.62% vs. 24.93%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 1.52% in July, the smallest rise in seven months and down from a 1.8% gain in the previous period.
