Danish Manufacturing Output Growth at 3-Month High

Denmark’s manufacturing output surged by 6.4% month-on-month in June 2026, rebounding from an upwardly revised 3.5% decline in May and reaching its highest level in three months. The advance was broad-based, with notable recoveries across most industries, particularly:

  • Food, beverages, and tobacco: +3.1% (vs -1.2% in May)
  • Textiles, clothing, and leather: +11.7% (vs -12.3%)
  • Pharmaceutical products: +7.3% (vs -7.8%)
  • Metal and metal products: +12.8% (vs -8.4%)
  • Electronics: +25.9% (vs -1.7%)
  • Electrical equipment: +3.4% (vs -0.9%)
  • Machinery: +13.1% (vs -7.6%)
  • Transport equipment: +26.7% (vs -23.7%)

By contrast, growth moderated in wood, paper, and printing, where output rose 0.3% (vs 1.5% previously). Activity declined in rubber, plastic, and glass (-1.6% vs 0.0%), as well as in mineral oil and chemicals (-4.4% vs +4.0%).

On a seasonally adjusted annual basis, manufacturing production increased 9.7% in June, following a downwardly revised 4.7% rise in the prior month.
