Taiwan’s Export Growth Cools in July, Easing From June’s Surge

Taiwan’s export momentum moderated in July 2026, with year-over-year growth slowing to 32.9%, down from a sharp 40.3% increase recorded in June 2026. The latest data, updated on 7 August 2026, indicate that while overseas shipments are still expanding strongly compared with a year earlier, the pace of growth has begun to ease.

The figures are based on a year-over-year comparison, where the “actual” value reflects the change in exports for July 2026 versus July 2025, and the “previous” value compares export performance in June 2026 with June 2025. Despite the deceleration, the double-digit growth rate suggests that external demand for Taiwan’s goods remains robust, even as the surge seen in early summer shows signs of normalizing.
