Ukraine’s Foreign Reserves Edge Lower in July, Holding Near Record Levels at $51.2B

Ukraine’s foreign exchange reserves slipped marginally in July 2026, easing to $51.20 billion from $51.30 billion in June 2026, according to the latest official data updated on 7 August 2026.

The $0.10 billion decline signals relative stability in the country’s external buffer, with reserves essentially flat month-on-month and remaining just below their previous high. The modest movement suggests that, over the July period, inflows such as international financial support and export earnings were largely balanced by external debt payments, currency interventions, or other foreign-currency outflows.

With reserves still above the $51 billion mark, Ukraine maintains a substantial cushion to support its currency and meet short-term external obligations, an important factor for investors tracking the country’s financial resilience and macroeconomic stability.
