FX.co ★ Finland Current Account Surplus Largest on Record

Finland’s current account surplus widened to EUR 2,830 million in June 2026, up from EUR 1,282 million in the same month a year earlier. This was the largest current account surplus on record, driven primarily by a sharp increase in the goods account surplus, which rose to EUR 2,797 million in June from EUR 1,063 million a year earlier. The primary income surplus also strengthened, increasing to EUR 903 million from EUR 744 million in June 2025. In contrast, the services account deficit deepened to EUR 693 million from EUR 369 million, and the secondary income deficit widened to EUR 178 million from EUR 155 million.
