FX.co ★ STOXX 50 Closes at Record High

European stocks ended mostly higher on Thursday, supported by strong earnings across several sectors. The Euro STOXX 50 rose 0.2% to 6,544, while the STOXX Europe 600 edged slightly lower to 659. ASML advanced 2.7%, extending its sharp gains for a second straight session and mirroring strength in the AI infrastructure segment in the US and Asia as that sector rebounded. Adyen jumped 16.4% after raising its revenue forecast for the current year. Danish shipping giant Maersk climbed 9.4% after significantly beating profit expectations and lifting its full-year earnings guidance, underscoring robust performance in its core businesses. In addition, Entain and Danish offshore wind developer Orsted both reported first-half core profits that topped market forecasts.
